December 2005The kids and I were shopping for Christmas presents the other day. I don’t know how many times I heard, “Mommy, I want that for Christmas.” I had just wrapped most of their presents the night before and I thought, “Oh, if you knew what was waiting for you at home. You will like those presents so much more than all these things you think you want.” Later that afternoon as I thought about this I wondered how often God feels the same way that I did. He knows the gifts He has waiting to give to us at just the right time. And we see all these things we want that we think are so wonderful. But His gifts are so much better. Join us in this Christmas season in thanking God for the greatest gift of all—His Son, Jesus Christ! We are also so thankful to all of you and grateful for how God has used you to allow us to be a part of taking the greatest gift to the students of the University of Michigan. Merry Christmas!
