A little about Shelly

I was born in Elyria, Ohio in 1971 to Chuck and Mary Ann Remick. Two years later my life was drastically changed when my twin brothers arrived! I grew up with my extended family living close and got to see all of my relatives often. It is so much fun to go home and see them all now that we're grown up.

I received Jesus Christ into my life when I was six years old. A missionary couple spoke at our church's Wednesday night children's program and I realized my need for Christ that night. I am very thankful for the large and active youth group that I was in during my teen years.

I attended Elyria public schools and graduated from Elyria High School in 1989. I graduated from The Ohio State University in 1994 with a BS in Occupational Therapy.

Nate and I dated through three years of college and got married two weeks after his graduation. Then, two days after our honeymoon, we moved to Dallas so that Nate could go to seminary. I worked as an Occupational Therapist at Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation while Nate worked on his degree. The team I was on at the hospital treated patients with a wide variety of injuries, from knee or hip replacements, to strokes, to brain injuries. While in Dallas, I led a Bible study with 5 women, who are still some of my closest friends.

Nate and I joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ in the summer of 1998 and we reported to our first assignment at the University of Michigan in the fall of 1999.

I enjoy cross-stitching, sewing, scrap-booking, and bargain-shopping. Being a mom takes most of my time, and I am really enjoying it. What did I ever do before Andrew, Lauren, and Lindsey?
